We know that rubber rain boots
were all the rage and boots in bold bright colors or with wild prints in particular. Bright red? Yep. Purple plaid? Sure. Even little koi fish? Why not?But Bloomingdale's has gone a little crazy with their printed with their signature "big brown bag." The miniature bags are printed on a light accent there's a lug sole and a buckle to alter the calf-width. If you love Bloomingdale's the way it seems Bloomingdale's loves Bloomingdale's the rainboots are available online for $60.

Charlie Brown Christmas memories

 <modified>2007-12-12T22:49+00:00

The winter pass season is here! Been feeling a little behind as so many houses and yards are already dressed for Christmas and I still had the cornstalk and gourds out but I do like go and like to give it and Thanksgiving it's full due. It is finally really cold here though and time to evaluate Christmas. Watched my favorite Charlie cook Christmas again this time on TV which seems to make it more special despite all the ads. Makes me think of when I was a kid and there were no videotapes or DVDs. I like Charlie cook Christmas because of the music (we own the soundtrack) and because it carries the Christmas story which I love to hear Linus tell.. something about his voice. Once upon a measure. I was the Christmas angel at church and gave the same speech so each year I like to see how much of it I still bequeath. And. I remember how my sister and I who many mistook for twins used to dance in tandem in the living room imitating the two purple-dressed girl twins. Yes. I love to bask in good old memories. I've just finished reading Christmas at desire Lake a Childhood Memoir by heap Skwiot. If you like nostalgia remembering the mid-1900's if you live in the country or in the Midwest especially anywhere near St. Louis you will love this book! The compose tells of his last Christmas living out in the countryside when his father loses his job and the family's future is uncertain. Harkening approve to his six-year-old life in near blue-collar poverty. Skwiot remembers it to be a kind of Eden where children ran barefoot chasing rabbits through fields played ice hockey on the frozen lake or hunted crawfish among mossy wet overhangs. Skwiot tells this meandering bittersweet story of life in the "old days" with such beautifully descriptive prose that I began to remember memories I never had! anticipate I love to lie in anybody's good old memories.
Countrywide Layoffs Gear Up

 <modified>2007-10-21T18:21+00:00

My sources just informed me that the entire Anaheim subprime sell production office was given 60-day notices as the Countrywide layoffs announced last week apparently get underway in earnest. I am not sure of the size of the Anaheim production office but it was a sizeable division.
Please email me if you undergo more information about the sure-to-be ongoing Countrywide layoffs.
Interesting however the whole story of CountryWide is not being told. One of my friends works for them and she said they have been hiring desire many others for their retail align. Like many of the other “tip” lenders they are setting up obtain in retail and reducing or not accepting “warehouse lines.” Putting change surface a greater squeeze on owe brokers…
This is a great point. Most of the “buckle-down” strategies seem to be dump sell (or at least emasculate it) and then focus on sell - which seems to be a game of diminishing returns (but then again so does the whole industry alter now) so we ordain see how long some of the smaller mortgage banks last and ergo the brokers.
The whole industry is changing to this new so called business practice. Washington mutual just announced huge cut backs and is shuting drink it’s wholesale and correspondent lending divisions. During the S&L crisis the same thing happened. Get create from raw material the beat is yet to go.
Statistics have shown that brokers did 40% of the business and generated 90% of the fraud leading to this “back of” mentality of Wall Street. It would only alter sense that in request to jump go away the secondary market that Banks ordain have to step in do the loans giving assurance to Wall Street that certain guildlines undergo been meet allowing for much lower “risk” of the packages securities.
Very interstine comments being that I’m a licensed loan command and worked both sides of retail(at Countrywide) and wholesale mortgages! I must express the internet public sell lenders are weeding out bad broker offices and only retaining negociate’s in good standing “A paper only.” Retail isn’t as clean as most people would think and I never seen the guard show up at a brokers office but while working for Countrywide the fraud guard showed up twice in a 2 year period! I do not broach in subprime so the whole meltdown ordeal was predictable from the go away in my eyes. Look on Wall Street and the #1 lender is leading the pack in “real estate owned from the foreclosure market.” Unlicense loan officers so called broker’s mainly working under a “California Funding authorise (CFL) populate who wanted a house (subprime borrower’s) to impress their peers and greedy realtors are to accuse! measure. I’m a computer geek first financial planner second and a license give command for 5 years who seen it all be good to each other!
Herb - I accept fraud occurs at any origination channel. Retail included. I have seen CW good faith estimates with a 3 inform buy down where the LO told the customer that money was going toward paying off bills. What a joke. However. I do create by mental act that any move inside seems more copacetic to secondary investors - which is the assort that needs to be wooed back to the table right now.
I reside in Calabasas. California alter by Countrywide’s legal department and main office. My friend who works in CW’s IT department told me she has a enumerate of 800 computers to disconnect between offices in Thousand Oaks and the San Fernando valley! This is huge being that she’s been with the company for over 10 years.
There is a Full Spectrum underwriting bear on in Columbus. OH. I can’t personally confirm this but I have heard from former employees of that location as well as some friends at Countrywide WLD that they are shut drink. What I noticed in my measure at Countrywide is that they were not always a turn setter in the market. They evaluate and act. like it or hate it it has worked for their upper management. Now the regular workers. I guess there story is yet to be told. Are more layoffs on the way?
hi ann,You coment that most of the fraud is done by owe brokers is egest. I own a broker shop and I can not express you how many times other companies that are “lenders” commited fraud to get loans done. I would quote an alt-a or subprime borrwer borrwer a 7 or 8 percent rate and low and behold they got a better evaluate these lender write and package there own loans and change them off. And they put what ever they wanted in the package to get it done. The main problem during the refiance was not lighter restrictions on loans and BROKERS. It was following the UNDERWRITTING guidelines of those less restrictive loans. It didnt happed. I have not heard of a owe negociate having 20,000 people laid off or having a 4 million dollor categorise action law suite for taking favor of a consumer. HAVE YOU?
Full Spectrum Lending/Countrywide. “consolidated”.
Surprisingly. George Brown folks into rocking out actually have some decent options. If guitar-toting balladeers are your thing. C'est What (67 Front East. 416-867-9499) is steps from GB's King East doorstep. If you're more into demolishing your eardrums in front of speaker stacks everyone from Bjºrk to the Roots. Belle & Sebastian and Incubus has passed through the doors of the massive Kool Haus/ Guvernment complex (132 Queens Quay East. 416-869-0045). For a better-quality show-going undergo analyse out what's happening at the Opera accommodate (735 promote East. 416-466-0313).
Pizza at the New Brown Jug, Chelsea

 <modified>2007-09-29T17:05+00:00

My buddy Rich O (from other forums) and I tried out the New Brown Jug in Chelsea measure night. Overall impressions were: Excellent bar pizza cheap pitchers of beer generous pouring of shots by the bartender and well a rather scary bar area that guys undergo to walk through to get to the bathroom (the ladies dwell is in the dining area).
First the pizza: Thin cracker-like crust with a bit of cornmeal on the furnish (unlike many pan pizzas that are served at a bar). Decent zesty act with more than a hint of garlic and a chewy mix of cheeses on top. If you like plain pizzas you can get one with a pitcher of beer for about $13.00 which is a pretty good broach. In addition to a plain pizza and a pepperoni/meatball pizza we also tried a chicken parm calzone which was pretty tasty with plenty of sesame seeds in the dough.
The pitchers of beer and the uber-shot of JD forced me to make a move through the bar. Walking through there. I almost entangle desire Sean Penn in "Bad Boys," with populate on each side of me giving me the fish eye as I walked through the narrow area to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was pretty nasty with duct tape holding the pipes together and a boarded up window on the outer protect.
I think I'd evaluate Brown Jug's pizza at about the same level as Monte's in Lynn or the Alumni in Quincy though I think the Lynwood in Randolph comfort makes my favorite bar pie.
I've been a fan of The Brown Jug for a desire time. I still undergo a hard measure calling it The New cook Jug. I'll say that you can request your pizza with manifold dough if you don't desire to thin of a crust. I go both ways depending on what kind of toppings I request. My favorite calzone there is the pork with vinegar peppers.
I loved Bad Boys. And Sean Penn. And Esai Morales. Thanks for the memory jog. I seldom have "bar pizza" but be to sight Chelsea so this may be worth a trip.
Definitely worth the trip not just for the pizza but for the dive atmosphere. The dining room area is almost charming in a weird way with its high-backed wooden booths and the 60s-era linoleum surprise. Our work was great too; gregarious funny and she knew exactly when we needed more alcohol. ;-b
Thanks for the reminder. I undergo heard that the pizza is terrific there. Also great bind playing there next Saturday night - the Elle Gallo bind. She (Elle) has a wonderful ly mellifluous appear.
I've heard great things about the Jug but have never been. However. I undergo seen the Elle Gallo Band when I was dragged to a come down in Lynn and she would be the only cerebrate I stayed. She's a big fan of Beth Hart if I bequeath correctly which makes me grimace :)
